20 Minute Grief Yoga (Free) Saturdays 10am-1020am

Take 20 minutes out your day to find a little peace, liberation and maybe some empowerment to learn and experience what movement, breath, sound and yoga can do when you are processings the feelings of grief. This a virtual class. All you need is a mat, blanket, rug, or towel.

What to Expect in a Grief Yoga Class

A Gentle and Accessible Practice

Grief Yoga is not about achieving the perfect posture or mastering complex poses. It’s about tuning into your body, moving with intention, and honoring your own experience. The class is open to everyone, regardless of yoga experience or physical ability, and can even be done entirely from a chair.

Breath and Sound to Release Emotions

Guided breathing techniques and the use of sound help you connect with your emotions and release tension stored in the body. These simple practices are deeply soothing and grounding.

Movement and Dance to Reconnect

Gentle yoga movements and expressive dance provide a way to release grief and reconnect with a sense of vitality. You’ll be encouraged to move in ways that feel natural and healing for you.

A Space for Peace and Empowerment

Through this 60-75 minute class, you may find moments of peace, empowerment, or even liberation from the weight of grief. The goal is not to "fix" grief but to help you carry it with greater ease and grace.

Using a combination of gentle yoga, intentional breathwork, expressive dance, and soothing sound therapy, you'll be guided to connect with your body, calm your mind, and nurture your spirit. This series is for anyone seeking a holistic approach to grief, offering tools for both emotional release and renewal.

No prior yoga or dance experience is needed—just come as you are, ready to breathe, release, and rediscover your inner peace. Chair option is available.

Grief Yoga: Releasing Emotions Through Breath, Movement & Sound

In collaboration with Where Do Black Women Go to Grieve?, this one-hour grief yoga class is designed to help you acknowledge, process, and release emotions in a safe and supportive space. Grief often carries layers of emotions, and anger can be one of the most difficult to express and move through.

Through intentional breathwork, mindful movement, yoga postures, and the healing vibrations of sound, you will be guided to release tension, reconnect with your body, and find moments of peace amidst the storm. This practice is open to all levels and offers a compassionate approach to navigating grief.

Come as you are—no experience is necessary. Just bring your breath, your presence, and a willingness to release.

Whether you're navigating the pain of death, estrangement, a life transition, or unspoken sorrow—this class offers a sacred place to honor your journey.

Each class in this fall series blends gentle movement, intentional breathwork, restorative postures, and sound to support emotional release and inner restoration. You’ll be guided through somatic tools that help move stagnant energy, while holding space for stillness, reflection, and grace.

✨ This class is accessible for every body—whether you're on a mat or in a chair. No prior yoga experience is necessary. Come as you are.
